1. Christian Barmore

The Bills also desperately need to upgrade their defensive line if they want to become Super Bowl contenders in 2021. Vernon Butler is overpaid and may be cut as a result. Landing Barmore at No. 30 would give Buffalo a valuable upgrade at that defensive tackle spot.

Barmore’s collegiate career started slowly, but he played his best football when it really mattered at Alabama. His play during the 2020 College Playoff was nothing short of spectacular. He absolutely dominated the competition up front in both the semifinal and final matchups.

He deserves to go in Round 1 because of his potential to blossom into an above-average run defender and an outstanding pass-rusher. Finding two-way defensive tackles of his caliber is difficult in any draft. Landing this type of prospect so late in Round 1 would be a steal for Buffalo.

This isn’t a great defensive tackle class, but teams are sleeping on Barmore at the moment. The Bills need to hope those naps continue until they go on the clock in Round 1. Barmore represents the best outcome possible for Buffalo in the 2021 NFL Draft.
