Pac-12 Conference Tournament

  • Dates: March 10-13
  • Location: Las Vegas, NV
  • Venue: T-Mobile Arena
  • Top Seed: Oregon
  • Bracket

The Pac-12 Tournament is probably one of the least important events since the league’s teams are pretty much locked into their tournament fates. Arizona’s postseason ban also makes them ineligible for the event, reducing the field to 11 teams.

Four teams should make the field out of the Pac-12, including top-seeded Oregon, Colorado, UCLA and USC. The Trojans have the most exciting player in freshman forward Evan Mobley, a potential top-five pick in the NBA Draft, but the Ducks are the hottest team at the moment.

The only deep bubble team is Stanford, which squandered a win over Alabama by dropping its final four regular-season games to finish as the sixth seed. The Cardinal will have to win the Pac-12’s automatic bid to get into the field, which would shrink the bubble by one since Stanford can’t get in the field based on its current metrics.

There won’t be a bid thief here, however, as Stanford is far too inconsistent to rip off three straight wins against tough competition. The Ducks have recovered from a lengthy COVID pause to become a March Madness threat which they should prove by cutting down the nets here.

Prediction: Oregon
