1. Tim Tebow, former Florida quarterback

Few know that Ed Orgeron was not the top candidate for the LSU head coaching job. The Tigers initially wanted Tom Herman who decided to take the same job at Texas. LSU ultimately decided to hire Orgeron for the simplest of reasons, he really wanted to be there. Orgeron is passionate about LSU football.

The coach with the deep creole accent bleeds purple and gold. For Orgeron, a native of Larose, Louisiana, this was the dream. This is why Orgeron’s passion is so evident. If there is one former player who would bring this sort of passion to the sidelines, it is former Florida Gator Tim Tebow.

There were few players as passionate, firey and more beloved by teammates than the 2007 Heisman Trophy winner. Tebow was a winner in college and though his professional football career was short, it is marked by a remarkable playoff win.

The national titles and Heisman Trophy instantly give Tebow cache in the locker room. When Tebow gets up to speak, everyone is going to listen. It is easy to imagine Tebow recruiting. Mothers and fathers alike would love the passion and pitch.

It remains to be seen if Tebow has any interest in coaching, but if he does it might work out well.
