DraftKings THE PLAYERS Championship picks: Lineup Options

Finally, we’re going to look at some DraftKings PGA Tour fantasy golf lineups for THE PLAYERS Championship that you could possibly play. We’ll look at a stars and scrubs approach, a mid-tier heavy lineup (something valuable in such a loaded field) and then offer up my best lineup for this week at TPC Sawgrass.

Stars and Scrubs lineup

• Xander Schauffele, $10,300

• Lanto Griffin, $7,300
• Matthew NeSmith, $6,700
• Jhonattan Vegas, $6,300

Schauffele and Thomas are both somewhat gambles but their top form is them winning THE PLAYERS, so you have to like that. Moreover, I like the high floors of Griffin and NeSmith and the upside of Vegas to give this lineup a lot of win equity, especially with steady Simpson bolstering the group.

Mid-Tier Loadup lineup

• Viktor Hovland, $9,300
• Scottie Scheffler, $8,900
• Paul Casey, $8,400
• Cameron Smith, $7,900
• Tommy Fleetwood, $7,900
• Will Zalatoris, $7,600

Often, the mid-tier heavy lineups leave me wanting. That’s not the case this week. I love this lineup as all players have legitimate win equity and also seemingly have high floors. The only drawback is the potential for some young players to struggle in their first full trip to TPC Sawgrass.

• Viktor Hovland, $9,300
• Tommy Fleetwood, $7,900
• Will Zalatoris, $7,600
• Jhonattan Vegas, $6,300

In case you couldn’t tell, I love the $9,000 range and I’m taking Webb with the two biggest young guns on the tour from that range. With the upside of Fleetwood and Zalatoris and the recent history of Vegas, I love this lineup to be a high finisher in any tournament.
