Leonard Fournette got an early start on Throwback Thursday.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette takes it way back to his days as an LSU football start to troll the Auburn football team.

The Super Bowl champion running back had a great three-year run with the Tigers, earning two All-SEC nods and 2015 All-American status. Using the popular “you had to be there” meme, Fournette shows us one of the most memorable plays from his incredible game vs. Auburn in his sophomore season. It was hot as hell and he totally embarrassed Auburn safety Tray Matthews.

Leonard Fournette’s 2015 performance vs. Auburn was one his very best at LSU

On only 19 carries, Fournette had 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns. LSU won effortlessly 45-21 on that mid-September Saturday in Baton Rouge. It was over 100 degrees on the field and Fournette was destroying poor Auburn defenders with every punishing rushing attempt of his, as shown in his tweet. LSU improved to 2-0 on the year, finishing 9-3 on the campaign after a 7-0 start.

Fournette left the LSU program after his junior season where he was the No. 4 overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2017 NFL Draft. While he had decent individual success in his three-year run with the Jaguars, Fournette achieved the ultimate team success this past year with the Super Bowl champion Buccaneers. As the meme states, you had to be there.

Fournette’s 2015 performance at home vs. Auburn helped solidify him as an LSU football legend.
