The Packers need a new weapon for Aaron Rodgers and the Patriots may have the solution as teams open trade inquiries into N’Keal Harry.

Green Bay has a ton of options when it comes to upgrading their receiving corps. They could dip into free agency. They could invest in the draft.

What about finding value in the trade market with a reclamation project?

Enter N’Keal Harry, the Patriots wide receiver Mike Garafolo of NFL Networks says could be on the trade block.

Garafolo called Harry “an interesting guy to watch” over the coming weeks and months as the Patriots look to shuffle their lineup. According to the reporter, “teams have been calling the Patriots to see if they’d be willing to part with Harry.”

Packers: N’Keal Harry could turn into a big-time receiver with Aaron Rodgers

If the Packers are one of the teams gauging the Patriots’ interest in swapping Harry, then good. If they’re not, they need to get on that.

In two seasons with New England, Harry hasn’t lit the world on fire. He appeared in seven games as a rookie with 105 yards and two touchdowns. He started nine out of 14 games in 2020 with 309 yards and another two touchdowns. That’s not the level of production you’d hope for from a former first-round receiver.

Make no mistake, Harry is a talent who could still be unleashed on the league. At Arizona State, he dominated with two 1,000-yard seasons. Defenders had no answer for his 6-foot-4 frame and playmaking ability. That potential needs to be unlocked in the right spot.

If Rodgers could get 690 yards out of Marquez Valdez-Scantling and 451 yards out of Allen Lazard, he could get the best out of Harry. The difference is Harry’s ceiling could be so much higher than those two current Packers.

No doubt it would be a bold move to take a chance on Harry. If the price is right, it’s worth a shot.
