2. Von Miller

The deadline to make a decision regarding Von Miller is fast approaching. The Broncos have until March 16 to decide if they want to pick up his 2021 option and instantly hand him $7 million.

This is not an easy decision and is made more difficult given his history in Denver. Miller was the No. 2 overall pick in 2011 and has been to eight Pro Bowls. But he is set to turn 32 years old later in March and just missed the entire 2020 season due to injury.

Fans may already know there is a plan to replace Miller well before the draft if the team indeed cuts him loose.

Replacing Miller is not as easy as drafting a new player. He is an elite talent and the hope would be drafting the next Miller, or someone who could at least make several Pro Bowls.

Forget Miller’s cap hit over $22 million for a moment and remember this is the final year of his current deal. He will be 33 years old at the start of the 2022 season so it may be wise for the Broncos to finally cut ties, save that money, and focus on edge rushers in the draft.
