Las Vegas Raiders full 2021 NFL mock draft
The first two picks in this mock draft have the Raiders upgrading their options in the secondary and defensive line. It’s only natural that the Round 3 pick would help strengthen Las Vegas’ linebacking corps.
Davis isn’t the most experienced player in this class, but he’s got the athleticism required to grow into a quality starter. Turn on his film at Kentucky and you see a guy who’s capable of making plays all over the field.
The one thing holding Davis back from being an elite prospect is his ability to process the game at rapid speed. He’s a little too slow to react to plays in the middle of the field to truly take advantage of all of his athletic gifts. The Raiders’ coaching staff should hope that weakness can be corrected with heavy reps at the pro level.
Davis might struggle to hold down a starting job as a rookie, but he should give Las Vegas quality snaps as a rotation guy right away. The fact that he projects to be a high-quality starter down the line makes him a good value at No. 81.
