Today’s NBA is often said to be a little too friendly amongst the players, but Reggie Miller thinks these guys are the best trash-talkers.

It’s obvious to the average NBA fan that today’s game isn’t as hostile as it was when the ‘Jordan rules’ applied or when the ‘Bad Boy’ Detroit Pistons were a thing.

These days, we see our league-greats like LeBron James and Stephen Curry relishing in the opportunity to play alongside each other, even if it is just for the All-Star Game. Other players have looked to link up on longer terms, which is how you get a team with Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving all together.

While players have more control now than they’ve ever had in the teams they join, some players are keeping the spirit of downright sports hate alive. NBA legend, now analyst Reggie Miller thinks that some guys could fit in the ’90s as far as trash-talking goes.

Reggie Miller names his top 3 trash-talkers in today’s game

Miller was no secret to trash-talking in his prime. His infamous ‘choking’ gesture when he scored eight points in nine seconds to beat the New York Knicks over 20 years ago is the stuff legends are made of.

But who does Miller consider the top trash-talkers in today’s player-friendly NBA? He told FanSided’s Patrick Schmidt his top three.

“I love Russell Westbrook. Maybe it’s a UCLA thing,” said Miller who is promoting Wendy’s being the Official Breakfast of March Madness. “I love Russell just because of his scowl and his looks, his demeanor, Patrick Beverley, very subtle. Draymond Green. He is one of those guys would have hated to play against, but you want him on your team.”

This list makes sense. All three guys have been known to get under the skin of many in their careers.

Who should fill out the top five?
