Bayern won their third straight Bundesliga game to move four points ahead of RB Leipzig as they chase their record ninth straight Bundesliga title. In the Champions League, Bayern are unbeaten in their last 19 games and look poised to advance to the quarterfinals for the ninth time in 10 years. Manager Hansi Flick’s team will likely play more conservatively than normal as they can afford to sit on their 4-1 lead. Robert Lewandowski has been unbelievable again this season. The Polish striker has 38 goals and eight assists in 34 games this season. In the Champions League, Lewandowski has elevated his performance. Over the past three seasons, Lewandowski has 27 goals in 23 games.
Lazio ended a two-game losing streak over the weekend, beating last-place Crotone 3-2 on Friday. Manager Simone Inzaghi’s team is facing an upward fight for a top-four place in Serie A. The Eagles are six points behind fourth-place, Atalanta. Lazio will need to score at least four goals if they are going to come back and eliminate Bayern on Wednesday. If the club is going to score that many goals, they will need the performance of a lifetime from Ciro Immobile. The Italian striker was the highest scorer in Europe last season with 39 goals and has scored 19 goals this season.
