Dallas Cowboys mock draft – Third Round

75. 123. Syracuse. Andre Cisco. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. S

Jones can stick with improving his defensive backfield by landing Cisco in the third round. A jack-of-all-trades for the Orange, Cisco has demonstrated the ability to both cover tight ends and make plays deep in the middle of the field.

Dallas has undervalued the safety position in recent years, which is problematic given the key role it plays in Quinn’s new defensive system. Cisco can fill one of those holes right now and become a versatile chess piece for Quinn to utilize in the coming years.

Scouting Report. DT. USC. Jay Tufele. 100. 123. Pick Analysis. player

This pick is projected to be a compensatory pick for losing Byron Jones last offseason and the Cowboys can use it to bolster their defensive line. Poor play at defensive tackle was a significant factor in Dallas’ awful run defense and Tufele can play a big role in fixing it.

Tufele can be a rotational player right away with the potential to develop into a starter within the next few years. There is also some pass-rushing potential in Tufele’s game, which could help Dallas generate more pressure on opposing quarterbacks from up the middle.
