Denver Broncos full 2021 NFL mock draft

Round 5
Deommodore Lenoir never wowed anyone while at Oregon from a pure, raw talent standpoint, but this is someone with a motor that doesn’t stop in the secondary. He will run down tackles from all over the field, and he will get dirty to break up passing plays. He’s the kind of player the Broncos will want to target in these later rounds. He has the ability to impact the team now through special teams play, but he has immense upside to learn the system and one day become a starter.
Round 6
With how the draft played out, the hope here is the Broncos addressed the offensive line in free agency, because it’s slim pickens here in the sixth round. Larry Borom out of Missouri at least breeds some excitement in that he has some elite qualities. His hands and placement of his body was great as a three-year starter in the SEC. However, his footwork and quickness leave a ton to be desired. Worth a flier in the sixth round to add depth to the offensive line, but don’t expect much at first.
Another position of need that went unfilled is the running back position. Melvin Gordon didn’t really prove he deserved a big contract, and he could be cut this offseason. The Broncos would be smart to take a chance in the seventh round on Kylin Hill out of Mississippi State. The running back class has a lot of interesting names, and since the league under values the position as a whole, a player like Hill can fall all the way here. He is explosive, and hits the holes at the right level. There’s something to work with here.
There were some who put a lot of faith in Mustafa Johnson pushing to be a top pick in this year’s draft, but his 2020 season left a lot to be desired. His former coach Mel Tucker said he reminded him of Aaron Donald. That’s obviously an insane comparison now, but Johnson still has some incredible upside, especially for where he is going. He can get into gaps with quickness despite his lack of size. There’s a lot to like with this prospect.
The Broncos will likely spend money on wide receiver in free agency, but there are some fun late-round options at the position. Tyler Vaughns has the feel of a Broncos wide receiver. He’s a possession receiver that spent a long time at USC. He’s on the older side, turning 24 years old this summer. However, he’s a taller receiver who can make a catch when absolutely necessary. He can absolutely catch. His speed is not great, and once someone gets their hands on him the play is over, but he gets great initial separation and if the ball is thrown to him, he’s catching it.
