Edge. 54. 134. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Florida State. Joshua Kaindoh

Drafting Kaindoh would give the Eagles a different sort of edge rusher to deploy on obvious passing downs. He’s a legitimate 6-foot-7 player with long arms and high-quality burst off the edge. That could turn into a real weapon for Philadelphia in time.

Kaindoh needs to add significant weight if he wants to be anything more than a one-trick pony as a pass rusher, but that’s not overly important for a fifth-round pick. He’s worth the risk at this juncture of the draft.

Pick Analysis. Wide receiver. Nico Collins. Scouting Report. Michigan. 140. player. 54

Collins has too much talent to reasonably fall to Round 5, but that’s where he’s being projected by most scouts at the moment. The Eagles would do well to land the 6-foot-4 vertical threat with such a modest draft choice.

Shi Smith. 165. 54. Pick Analysis. Wide receiver. South Carolina. player. Scouting Report

Any quarterback the Eagles utilize in 2021 can benefit from having a slot receiver who can turn short throws into quality yards. That’s exactly the sort of player Smith projects to be at the next level. His lack of size means he can’t make any impact on the outside, but Philadelphia needs a player of his caliber to activate their slot game.

Pick Analysis. 198. 54. Scouting Report. Tight end. SMU. Kyle Granson. player

Granson is never going to replace Ertz, but he can give the Eagles a quality backup to add to their tight end depth. He was productive at SMU as a slot receiver but he doesn’t have elite athleticism. He should be used as a jack-of-all-trades, master of none at the NFL level.
