player. 50. . Wide Receiver. Detroit Lions. Jaylen Waddle. 7

The Detroit Lions will have a new franchise quarterback under center in 2021, as Jared Goff was traded to the team for Matthew Stafford, among other assets. In Goff, the Lions get a quarterback who has led his team to a Super Bowl before, but also someone who not many experts are very high on.

Still, he has won games at the NFL level in bunches, and with pick No. 7 overall, they should look to bring him in a weapon. The franchise just lost Kenny Golladay to the New York Giants, and in Jaylen Waddle, they bring in a talent that certainly could be a lot better than Golladay down the road.

Justin Fields. 8. player. 87. . Quarterback. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers have to do something to address the quarterback position in this year’s NFL Draft, and they do so here at No. 8 overall. With this pick, if they cannot get Deshaun Watson from Houston, the Panthers select Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields, who also could be long-gone by now.

If available, the Panthers have to pounce, as Fields has the arm and legs to get the job done at the next level. He is also an incredible leader, and on a Panthers team that has made some nice moves this offseason, he would be the icing on the cake as Matt Rhule tries to revamp this roster in Carolina.

Micah Parsons. 9. player. 45. . Linebacker. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are another team that could be in the mix for a new quarterback in 2021, but signs are pointing to them sticking with Drew Lock. If they do decide to do that, they could use this pick on a linebacker, bringing in Micah Parsons from Penn State with the No. 9 overall selection this April.

Parsons is the kind of three-down linebacker that all defensive coordinators covet, and would have a spot to start right away in Denver. If Lock is not the answer, the Broncos could move up a few spots and replace him, but if they stand pat, they get one heck of a consolation prize in Parsons.
