The Oklahoma City Thunder have reportedly set their own deadline when it comes to fielding offers for point guard George Hill. The 2021 NBA trade deadline is on Thursday, March 25.

It feels more likely than not that Oklahoma City Thunder point guard George Hill will be dealt at the deadline. However, the Thunder have reportedly set their own deadline when it comes to fielding offers for their point guard.

According to Sports Illustrated’s Farbod Esnaashari, the Thunder plan to have all their offers for Hill submitted to them by Wednesday. Hill could be bought out as well, as it does not seem likely he is for long in Oklahoma City. Teams who are reportedly interested in trading for him include the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Lakers and the Philadelphia 76ers. He will be on the move.

George Hill could be reuniting with Paul George on the Los Angeles Clippers

What makes the Clippers a potentially interesting landing spot for Hill is that it would reunite him with former Indiana Pacers teammate Paul George. Together, they helped the Frank Vogel era of Pacers basketball achieve great heights. Vogel now coaches the Lakers, so that could be a viable spot for him as well. 76ers coach Doc Rivers is a former floor general himself, so that could work.

Ultimately, Hill is expected to join a different team in the coming days, whether that is through a trade from the Thunder or if he is bought out of his contract and is then free to sign with whatever team he chooses. All we know is that Hill is not going to be part of the Thunder’s plans for very much longer. The Clippers are the team to watch, but the Lakers and the 76ers are in the mix, too.

Look for the Thunder to figure out what exactly they want to do with Hill by this time tomorrow.
