1. Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls made headlines all day Thursday. First came the big move to land Nikola Vucevic and Al-Farouq Aminu from the Orlando Magic. Then came a separate deal that sent Daniel Theis from Boston to Chicago. The Bulls also added Troy Brown in a deal with the Washington Wizards.

The front office in Chicago is trying to build a winner, and the Bulls flipped the roster in a big way Thursday. Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr. and two first-round picks were sent to Orlando. That type of trade shows the Bulls are committed to competing sooner than later.

Vucevic is the centerpiece of the day and shows up under contract through the 2022-23 season. The center is averaging 24.5 points and 11.8 rebounds per game this season. He is going to show up as the right-hand man alongside Zach LaVine not just in 2021 but for the next several seasons.

Theis is a bit different as he is on an expiring deal. But he is a tough, defensive-minded veteran who is averaging nearly 10 points per game in roughly 24 minutes a night. The focus now is making him part of the playoff push in 2021.

The Bulls enter Thursday with a 19-24 record and sit in the No. 10 spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They are back on the floor Saturday and fans will get to see the debut of the new-look squad against the San Antonio Spurs.
