Round 2

WR. Terrace Marshall Jr.. player. Scouting Report. 60. 15. Pick Analysis. LSU

The departure of Emmanuel Sanders leaves the Saints with a need for a No. 2 wide receiver. The combination of Tre’Quan Smith, Marquez Calloway, Deonte Harris, Lil’Jordan Humphrey, Bennie Fowler etc., will not suffice.

With Justin Jefferson gone and Ja’Marr Chase opting out last season, Marshall had 48 catches for 731 yards and 10 touchdowns in seven games for LSU before opting out himself. For the national-title winning Tigers in 2019, he had 46 receptions for 671 yards and 13 scores.

Marshall is a big receiver, at 6-foot-4  and 200 pounds. His Pro Football Focus grades in the red zone and on contested catches fit that physical profile.

The Saints might have to hope Marshall falls all the way to them here. But another loaded draft class at wide receiver, and the rise of some others up draft boards, makes it possible.
