East. AFC. Miami Dolphins. 4. player. 59. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Before he signed with the Buccaneers, there was a scenario that could have put Brown in Miami. The opt-outs of Albert Wilson and Allen Hurns thinned the Dolphins wide receiver ranks quickly, and Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald pointed the need for added experience.

The Dolphins signed Will Fuller to a one-year deal in free agency to pair with DeVante Parker. But apart from the questions about those guys (and Fuller having to serve the end of his PED suspension in Week 1), there is a lack of proven talent down the depth chart. After suffering a torn ACL in 2019, Preston Williams missed the final eight games last season due to foot injury. Jakeem Grant is still an interesting player, but hardly a big-time offensive contributor at this point.

The Dolphins don’t have a ton of money to spend right now, so that will turn Brown off (or already has, if they’ve made an offer. But as a Miami native maybe he’d like to come back home, absent other offers to his liking. Surrounding Tua Tagovailoa with more talent doesn’t necessarily have to wait until the draft late this month.
