Trevor Bauer is in a league of his own, and the reigning NL Cy Young award winner made his first start as a Dodger.

Bauer in Dodgers colors just feels like an embarrassment of riches. A rotation already featuring the likes of Clayton Kershaw and Walker Buehler just got even better. Yet, Bauer is a California kid, and grew up a huge Dodger fan, so it’s not just a great player looking for his first ring. No, Bauer is Dodger blue means more, even if it seems unfair to some.

On Friday night, Bauer made his first start in the uniform he dreamt of donning as a kid. Here’s his first strikeout on a filthy breaking pitch.

Trevor Bauer’s filthy slider officially has him in the Dodgers stat books

Despite his controversial nature on social media, Bauer is generally a good teammate and can contribute greatly to a championship team. This is why the Dodgers gave him record money, and why the rest of baseball is just going to have to deal with his antics if Los Angeles wins another World Series ring this Fall.

Winning cures all, literally.
