4. Myles Gaskin will notch 200 rushing attempts

Part of Miami’s plan to provide Tua more support in 2021 will be to renew their emphasis on running the football effectively. That means more work for their No. 1 running back.

Gaskin racked up 142 carries in just 10 games last year. There’s no reason to believe he can’t up that workload if he stays healthy in 2021. 250 carries is too much work for a back of his size, but giving him 200+ carries seems like an excellent plan for the Dolphins.

The key for Gaskin will be to improve his efficiency while he increases his quantity of carries. He only averaged 4.1 yards per carry last season but the Dolphins offense needs him to push that to something close to 5 yards per tote. That type of improvement could revolutionize Miami’s offensive balance.

There’s always a chance that Miami could draft a running back in April to help turn their backfield into a timeshare

, but Gaskin has the talent to make taking him off the field a very difficult choice for Flores and his staff.
