1. Tua Tagovaila will complete over 70 percent of his passes

Togvailoa has never been touted for having the biggest arm in football. He has, however, been universally praised for his accuracy. That’s the ability that Miami needs to double down on.

That philosophy might frustrate fans hoping to see the Dolphins throw the ball down the field a ton in 2021, but it’s going to help build up Tagovailoa’s confidence. Look for Miami to spend a lot of time giving their second-year signal-caller a lot of easy throws early in the season. The hope is that they’ll be able to open the offense up after chalking up some early wins.

The end result will give Tagovailoa a strong chance to finish the season with a completion percentage north of 70%. He’s going to take some deep shots, but the majority of his success is going to come on short and intermediate throws.

Remember, nothing is more important for the Dolphins this season than providing Tagovailoa a platform to build on for the future. They’ll sacrifice some flash for more substance in his game. Expect Miami’s offense to focus more on efficiency than explosion in Tagovailoa’s second NFL campaign.
