NFL Mock Draft: How the first-round shakes out after Sam Darnold trade
By Brad Weiss
The Green Bay Packers have to finally get Aaron Rodgers a first-round wide receiver, and they do just that by adding Rondale Moore from the University of Purdue. This kid will have no problem playing in the cold, can make every catch, and despite his size, will be a 1,000-yard wide receiver at the next level, and a perfect complement to Davante Adams.
The Buffalo Bills made it all the way to the AFC title game in 2020, and the odds are they will be right back in the mix to get back there this upcoming season. While the defense was better, they could use more help coming off the edge, and if they can tap into Jayson Oweh’s potential, they will end up with a special pass rusher when all is said and done.
The Kansas City Chiefs are hitting the reset button on the offensive tackle position, and with this pick at No. 31 overall, they add Notre Dame star, Liam Eichenberg. This guy was an anchor for one of the best offensive lines in all of college football, and he could start right away on the right side, protecting Patrick Mahomes.
With the final pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Oklahoma interior offensive lineman, Landon Dickerson. This is a kid who can play center or guard at the next level, and the Bucs need more depth on the inside, protecting for Tom Brady, who seems to not age at this point.
