Washington Commanders. Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. 19. player. 58. . LB

The Washington Football Team holds the No. 19 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and they could end up trading up to draft a quarterback, getting someone to sit behind Ryan Fitzpatrick for a year. However, in this mock, they end up addressing the defensive side of the ball, landing Notre Dame’s star linebacker, Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah.

JOK is the kind of hybrid defensive player this Washington Football Team defense is lacking, as he can play everywhere from up in the box coming off the edge, to safety. He has elite coverage skills, is an outstanding tackler, and could end up being the most productive defensive player in this draft class.

CB. Chicago Bears. Caleb Farley. 20. player. 57.

At pick No. 20 overall, the Chicago Bears are another team that could trade up in the first round to get a quarterback, but they seem pretty pumped about having Andy Dalton as their signal-caller in 2021. Maybe they do so bad that they get an elite option at quarterback in next year’s class, but here, they land an elite cornerback instead.

Caleb Farley is one of those prospects who could drop in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft after it was announced he would have back surgery. Still, he is going to be a shutdown cornerback at the next level, and the Bears certainly need someone to come in and fill that void.

46. . OT. Indianapolis Colts. Samuel Cosmi. 21. player

The Indianapolis Colts have decided to roll with Carson Wentz as their starting quarterback, and early returns are that he is gaining the respect of his teammates. He joins a familiar face in former OC Frank Reich, and the feeling is that if anyone can get the most out of him, it is him.

Upfront along the offensive line, the Colts have to get some more talent in front of Wentz, and they do so by adding offensive tackle Samuel Cosmi here at pick No. 21. Cosmi is as strong as they come in terms of the position group, and he would be an excellent addition to a collection of talent led by arguably the best offensive lineman in football in Quenton Nelson.
