Round 3

31. BYU. 76. OT. Brady Christensen. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Quarterback Zach Wilson was the obvious headliner for BYU’s Pro Day, but Christensen was someone scouts surely also wanted to see. A three-year starter at left tackle and a First Team All-American in 2020, the big man (6-foot-6, 300 pounds) had a nice showing at the Pro Day, raising his stock in kind and dismissing the notion he’s not athletic enough to be an NFL left tackle. He ran a 4.89 40-yard dash, with 30 bench reps, a 10-foot-5-inch broad jump, a 34-inch vertical, a 4.46 shuttle and 7.33-second 3-cone drill.

The Giants may end up having to hope Christensen falls to them here in the third round. He seems like a sure-fire Day 2 pick now.

They way the board falls here, the Giants wind up waiting a bit to secure an offensive tackle. Christensen will step right in to protect Jones’ blindside, while 2020 No. 4 overall pick Andrew Thomas moves to the right side and Nate Solder becomes a backup.
