1. Carson Wentz will throw fewer than 10 interceptions

Turnovers were the biggest reason why Wentz’s career in Philadelphia went off the rails. That’s precisely why the Colts will make Wentz protecting the football in 2021 their biggest organizational priority.

That might frustrate Indianapolis fans who want to see their offense really chuck the ball deep this season. That’s not a recipe for success for Wentz. The Colts are going to spoon-feed him as many easy throws as possible to help him rebuild his confidence.

The end result will be Wentz getting criticized for his yards per attempt average rather than his interception total. That’s a tradeoff the Colts will be more than willing to accept.

Next. Indianapolis Colts 7-round mock draft. dark

Indianapolis fans should prepare to see their offense try to defeat defenses with an efficient passing game. Wentz won’t have the freedom to take a lot of chances this season. That will keep the Colts in games and keep their starting quarterback’s interception total down. Expect him to post fewer than 10 picks during his bounceback season.
