Los Angeles Dodgers fans can exhale after hearing the latest Mookie Betts injury update.

Mookie Betts will not miss ample time for the Los Angeles Dodgers after getting hit by a pitch.

Though the star outfielder will not play in the Dodgers’ series finale vs. the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday afternoon, the X-rays came back negative on his injured forearm. The Dodgers received devastating news on the injury front when it comes to fellow outfielder Cody Bellinger. The last thing the reigning World Series champions needed was to be down two star outfielders in April.

Dodgers fans can take a deep sigh of relief knowing Betts is not going to be out for very long.

Los Angeles Dodgers fans get great news on the Mookie Betts injury front

Despite some injuries in the early part of the season, the Dodgers look to be the best team in baseball once again. They are 13-4 through their first 17 games, holding a 2.5-game lead over the arch rival San Francisco Giants in the NL West standings. Los Angeles may have the best record in baseball, but Seattle has come out of the gate surprisingly strong at an AL West-best 11-6 mark.

The Dodgers will have Wednesday off before they host the San Diego Padres for four games over the weekend. Their first meeting of the season with their emerging NL West rival was the talk of the baseball world last weekend. There is a very strong possibility that both NL West clubs meet once again in the postseason, possibly with a trip to the 2021 World Series on the line this time.

While Bellinger is out indefinitely, we are likely to see Betts play for the Dodgers this weekend.
