player. 123. . CB. Dallas Cowboys. Patrick Surtain II. 10

At pick No. 10, the Dallas Cowboys begin a run of three straight NFC East teams to select in the first round, and as is the case with many organizations, they could decide to move down in round one. However, they are also an organization that needs help at the cornerback spot, and with this selection, they take the best defensive back in this draft class.

Patrick Surtain II from Alabama is going to be a special player at the next level, and he would immediately fill the biggest void on this Cowboys defense. Dallas has a chance to jump right back to the top of the NFC East next season, and Surtain is a guy who can help them get there.

OT. New York Giants. Rashawn Slater. 11. player. 31.

The second of three straight NFC East teams to pick in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft is the New York Giants, who could go several different ways with this pick. However, they are also trying to figure out what they have in Daniel Jones, and he cannot spend another season running for his life, no matter how fast he is.

At pick No. 11, the Giants select offensive tackle Rashawn Slater from Northwestern, a player who many feel is the second-best offensive lineman in this draft class. Slater would fill a void on this Giants offensive line, and in the process, give Jones the protection he needs to take the next step forward in his development.

54. . WR. Philadelphia Eagles. Jaylen Waddle. 12. player

The final team in the NFC East to pick in this three-selection run is the Philadelphia Eagles, who have a ton of issues with their roster heading into the first round. At pick No. 12, the Eagles will have their choice of elite wide receivers to bring in, and with Ja’Marr Chase off the board, they go with Jaylen Waddle from Alabama.

Incredibly, the Eagles announced that there will be a quarterback battle between Joe Flacco and Jalen Hurts this offseason, which is ludicrous in my mind. Hurts is going to be a solid quarterback in this league, and with Waddle in the fold, he will be throwing to a former Alabama teammate.
