The Los Angeles Chargers have to bring in an offensive tackle with the No. 13 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and with Penei Sewell and Rashawn Slater gone, they turn to Virginia Tech star Christian Darrisaw. This is a kid who should be a top-15 pick this year, and in Los Angeles, he would be tasked with protecting star quarterback Justin Herbert.

Herbert proved during the 2020 season that he was an outstanding get in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and the Chargers have to make keeping him healthy their No. 1 priority. We saw what can happen when a quarterback does not have protection with the Burrow injury in 2020, and that cannot happen if the Chargers are going to finally be competitive again.

Pick No. 14 belongs to the Minnesota Vikings, and this is another team that could go several different ways in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. They could use a quarterback for the future, as well as help on defense, but for the immediate future, they need to bolster their offensive line.

When it comes to the interior of the offensive line, the Vikings have to go out and get the best player available, and that player is Alijah Vera-Tucker from USC. This is one of the more versatile offensive linemen in this draft class and would be a perfect fit in Minnesota, clearing holes for Dalvin Cook.

Detroit Lions. DeVonta Smith. 15. player. 50. . WR

After trading away the No. 7 overall pick to the New England Patriots, the Detroit Lions will now make their first selection of the 2021 NFL Draft at pick No. 15. With this pick, the Lions are still able to get an elite option for Jared Goff in the passing game, bringing in Heisman Trophy winner, DeVonta Smith.

For Goff to make a real impact in Detroit, he is going to need more weapons on the outside, especially with Kenny Golladay leaving via free agency. With Smith coming aboard, they get a dynamic playmaker, and despite moving down eight spots, they still get one of the better weapons in this draft class.
