1. Draft DL Christian Barmore at No. 26

Unlike any other position in this class, Barmore will be called out by name. He has to because of the lack of talent at the defensive line class at  whole. It’s simple for GM Andrew Berry should be be selecting at No. 26: If Barmore is on the clock at No. 26, he must be selected.

With the addition of Clowney, the Browns elected to release Sheldon Richardson. They also saw Larry Ogunjobi walk across the state to join Cincinnati in free agency. Jordan Elliott might be ready for first-team reps, but is Malik Jackson even close to the same player he was in Denver and Jacksonville?

Barmore is a perfect balance of speed and strength. His overall massive frame allows him to shuck players out of the way as a bull-rusher against the pass. As a run stopper, he excels when asked to play in a one-gap system and has incredible closing speed.

With the Chiefs and Bills, they have mobile quarterbacks who like to move outside the pocket. Any pass-rushing type of defensive tackle will be warranted as the pick.

The Browns need help at defensive tackle and Barmore is the only one worth taking in the first round. Add the Alabama product to the trenches and prosper with a young core for Joe Woods in 2021 and beyond.
