With the NFL Draft arriving on Thursday, Green Bay Packers general manager must make Aaron Rodgers happy by taking a receiver in the first round.

It goes without saying, but Green Bay Packers fans can’t wait for the NFL Draft to arrive on Thursday night. General manager Brian Gutekunst has quite the decision coming up, as everyone in Wisconsin is hoping he’ll use the first-round pick on a wideout.

Plain and simple, this team needs another offensive weapon for signal-caller Aaron Rodgers. After not taking a single receiver last year, it’s on Gutekunst to make it up to the future Hall-of-Famer this year. So, which players could the general manager go after?

At the top of the list, Packers fans are really intrigued by wideout Elijah Moore. The Ole Miss standout is a slot guy who is known for his breakaway speed. Imagine him running down the field and catching balls from Rodgers. This would take tons of pressure off of Davante Adams as well.

Moore appeared in eight games last season for the Rebels and put up video game-type numbers: 86 receptions for 1,193 yards and eight touchdowns. Of course, he’s not the only wide receiver option for the team with the 29th overall selection.

Another player of intrigue is Minnesota’s Rashod Bateman. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder also has tremendous speed and would be a huge aerial threat for Rodgers. With his sure hands and great size, he’d give opposing defensive backs plenty of headaches.

In terms of taking a receiver in the first round, the Packers haven’t done so since 2002. That simply has to change in 2021. Gutekunst will have tons of pressure to make Rodgers happy. If he doesn’t, fans will surely let him have it all over social media.
