NFL Mock Draft: What happens if trades cause NFL-record run on QBs?

One other pick that we have been fairly consistent on is the Dallas Cowboys selection at No. 10 overall. This is a franchise that desperately needs help at the cornerback position, and with the way the top-10 should shake out this year, there is a good chance they could get the best one available here.
This picks should be Patrick Surtain II from Alabama, who many consider the most NFL-ready cornerback coming out in 2021. He is elite in coverage, is an absolute ballhawk, and on this Cowboys defense, he would fill in one of the few holes they have heading into the summer months.
For all the talk of the New York Giants possibly going edge rusher, or even offensive tackle, one insider reported that the team is definitely enamored with Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith. Imagine, the Heisman Trophy winner heading to the Big Apple to be a part of a franchise looking to continue to move in the right direction.
Quarterback Daniel Jones is entering a monster year for him, and general manager Dave Gettleman, whose career is tied with the young signal-caller. If Jones improves in 2021, Gettleman is a genius for moving up to get him at No. 6 a few years back, but if he stinks, Gettleman will be looking for another job.
The third of three straight NFC East teams to select on Thursday night, if the draft order stays this way, is the Philadelphia Eagles, who, like the Dallas Cowboys, need help at cornerback. Luckily for the Eagles, there are a few top cornerbacks in this draft class, and a player like Jaycee Horn from South Carolina should be dominant at the next level.
As we see every year, the NFC East is anybody’s to take as there has not been a back-to-back winner since the Eagles won four straight from 2001 through the 2004 season. With a talent like Horn joining the secondary, and the team moving on from Carson Wentz, the Eagles could be the team to beat in the division in 2021.
