NFL Mock Draft: What happens if trades cause NFL-record run on QBs?
By Brad Weiss
The Green Bay Packers hold the No. 29 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and the hope is, at least for Aaron Rodgers, they bring in a weapon for him to team with Davante Adams. One such weapon could be Elijah Moore, a playmaking wideout that would be an excellent complement to Adams in the passing game for Rodgers.
The Buffalo Bills definitely need to add someone who can bring some pressure with the No. 30 overall selection, and they get a versatile outside linebacker who can do just that. Azeez Ojulari is a guy who some have mocked in the teens in this year’s first-round, and at pick No. 30, he is the perfect selection for a Bills team that should be one of the best in the AFC again this season.
With their second of two first-round picks, the Baltimore Ravens continue to add to the defensive side of the ball, this time bringing in a much-needed safety. Of all the safeties in this draft class, I believe that Trevon Moehrig is the only one who lands in the first round and gets a soft landing spot with the Ravens.
Finally, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will close out our last mock draft of the season, and they do so by adding a talented edge rusher in Jaelen Phillips from Miami (FL). Phillips joins fellow Hurricanes edge rusher Gregory Rousseau in the first round and gives the Bucs a nice, young pass rusher to learn from some veterans as a rookie.
