Chicago Bears safety Eddie Jackson was so happy to see his team draft Ohio State football star Justin Fields.

After seeing his Chicago Bears trade up to No. 11 in a deal with the New York Giants, safety Eddie Jackson could not have been happier watch Ohio State football star Justin Fields become his new teammate.

Jackson was going through all the emotions in real time during this monumental pick for the Bears. He was praying that Chicago either drafted Fields or Mac Jones out of his alma mater of Alabama with this first-round pick. All the while, Jackson pretty much burned every bad quarterback he has played with while he has been in Chicago. The pain is no more, man. No more.

Jackson embodied how everyone with rooting interest in the Bears feels after this huge draft pick.

There is no other way to put this. By trading up to draft Fields, the Bears are now one of the most exciting teams in the NFL. They finally landed a quarterback who can consistently play winning ball for them. For him to fall out of the top 10 was head-scratching its own. We have to give the Bears organization a ton of credit for having the stones to trade up with the G-Men to go get their guy.

As for what the future holds for Fields in Chicago, no doubt will he be facing absolutely absurd expectations. He is now the franchise savior and the heir apparent to the Ghost of Sid Luckman for the Monsters of the Midway. While he may not ever be the best quarterback in his draft class, for the time being, he gives Bears fans and Bears players like Jackson more hope than they ever had.

The Bears laid to rest the idea of an inevitable rebuild with one utterly fantastic draft selection.
