17. player. 47. . WR. New England Patriots. George Pickens

With the No. 15 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots got their long-term successor to Tom Brady, adding Mac Jones from Alabama. Jones had a magical final season with the Crimson Tide and has the arm, and size to be a very good quarterback in this league for a long time.

As they turn the page to 2022, they have to continue to add weapons, and they do so with George Pickens from the University of Georgia. Pickens is a guy who is going to take the lid off a defense at the next level, and Jones needs guys who can stretch the field.

Zach Harrison. 18. player. 54. . Edge. Philadelphia Eagles

With their second of two first-round picks in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles continue to revamp the defensive side of the ball. With pick No. 18, the one they get from the Miami Dolphins, the Eagles bring in Zach Harrison, a tremendous edge rusher from Ohio State.

Harrison is a guy who can help take this defense to the next level, and in a wide-open NFC East, he should be able to feast. Philadelphia is a team that has some serious draft capital next year, and that should help them be a playoff contender for the foreseeable future.

player. 28. . CB. Las Vegas Raiders. Sevyn Banks. 19

The Las Vegas Raiders had a very controversial first-round pick in 2021, bringing in Alabama offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood. While Leatherwood is solid, many felt he would be available in the second round, and they bypassed higher-ranked prospects like Teven Jenkins and Christian Darrisaw.

Still, he filled a need, and the team did a nice job filling a bunch of holes with their haul over the three-day event. However, they still need help at cornerback, which is why Sevyn Banks would be the pick here at No. 19 overall.

15. . QB. New Orleans Saints. J.T. Daniels. 20. player

Ian Book in the fourth round was a nice get for the New Orleans Saints, as he has the same stature, and playing style as Drew Brees. However, he is not Drew Brees, and with this first-round pick, the Saints may decide to go quarterback with J.T. Daniels.

Daniels is going to get major first-round buzz next season, especially if he puts together a solid season for the Georgia Bulldogs. The Saints could be picking a lot earlier in round one if their season goes off the rails, but either way, they get a future franchise guy here at No. 20.
