2. Geno Atkins

It’s been 10 years since the Bengals drafted Atkins in the fourth round. After a decade of service, including eight Pro Bowl nods, Atkins became a victim of the cap. Cincinnati cut him to make room and signed a replacement.

Unfortunately for Atkins, that means he’s on the free-agent market for the first time in his career.

The Bengals could bring him back. Or another team could take their chances on the defensive stalwart.

The trouble is he didn’t have the best track record in 2020 when it comes to injures. He played in only eight games, appearing on 11 percent of snaps. His impact was minor as a result.

He’s been too good for too long to overlook, though. Someone will have to buy into the idea that a healthy Atkins is still a great presence to have in the trenches.

1. Todd Gurley

It’s strange to think how quickly things fell off for Todd Gurley. In 2018 he was at the top of his game, rushing for 1,251 yards and 17 touchdowns while grabbing All-Pro honors.

Fast-forward a couple of years and he’s a free agent who isn’t even drawing much buzz.

Gurley does still have juice left in the tank. He rushed for 678 yards with the Falcons last season, scoring nine touchdowns along the way. For now, he can enjoy the Bahamas, but eventually, he’ll have to convince a team he can help them win.

For the first time in his career, in 2020, he had under 200 carries, barely. Maybe he’ll be fresher this time around?
