B.J. Goodson started 14 games for the playoff-bound 2020 Cleveland Browns

After spending his first three NFL seasons with the New York Giants, linebacker B.J. Goodson was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 2019. He then bet on himself last offseason by signing a one-year deal with the Cleveland Browns. This turned out to be his best professional season by a country mile, as he had set personal bests in starts (14), tackles (91) and passes defended (six).

Despite playing a critical role on a playoff-bound Browns team, Goodson remains unsigned. The former fourth-round pick will only be entering his age-28 season out of Clemson. One would think he will end up signing somewhere shortly before the start of fall camp. It is in his best interest to wait and see what is out there before picking the best place to play for his sixth year in the league.

Bashaud Breeland made 11 starts for the AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs

Bashaud Breeland has played an integral role in the defensive backfield for the last two Kansas City Chiefs teams. He made 15 starts in 16 games for the Super Bowl 54 champions in 2019. After missing a handful of games due to violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, Breeland returned and made 11 starts for last year’s AFC Championship team. He made a cool video, too.

Overall, Breeland is only entering his age-29 season out of Clemson. Though he is not a No. 1 cornerback in the league, he has shown enough over the last few years that he can be counted on in big moments for a championship-contending team. Breeland may not return to Kansas City, but he will make some team’s defensive backfield better simply upon arrival. He needs to get signed.

Where do you think these three former Clemson standouts end up signing this NFL offseason?
