1. Los Angeles Rams at Green Bay Packers

The NFL scheduling matrix isn’t perfect and it denied us a chance to see an NFC Championship Game rematch between the Green Bay Packers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It did produce a very compelling alternative, however, as the Los Angeles Rams head back to Lambeau Field looking for revenge against the Packers.

These teams met last year in the Divisional Round where Green Bay sent Los Angeles packing in a 32-18 defeat. That contest would prove to be the last game as a Ram for Goff, who was traded to Detroit along with two first-round picks in exchange for Stafford.

Adding Stafford to this game is very intriguing since he has a ton of familiarity with the Packers’ defense from his many years playing with the Lions. Los Angeles has always had the firepower to keep up with an explosive offense like Green Bay’s but now they have a quarterback who can keep pace with Rodgers as well.

This epic quarterback duel should produce one of the most exciting games in the NFL this year. Add in the playoff revenge factor as well as the fact that this contest could determine home-field advantage in the NFC and it is very clear that Rams-Packers is the best game on the 2021 NFL schedule.
