6. Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs

Finding games with elite quarterback play is always fun and seeing a showcase of the league’s two best passers is phenomenal. The league was fortunate that its formula for the 17th game provided a matchup between the Packers and Chiefs, giving us an epic showdown between Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. We slid this down a bit, though, with all the uncertainty.

These teams actually met in 2019 at Arrowhead Stadium, with Green Bay winning 31-24 on Sunday Night Football. That game wasn’t as good as it could have been, however, since Mahomes had to miss the contest with a knee injury.

This is no slight to then-Chiefs backup quarterback Matt Moore, who played well by throwing for 267 yards with two touchdowns against the Packers, but NFL fans were robbed of seeing Mahomes face off with Rodgers. The current NFL scheduling system wouldn’t have seen these two teams play again until 2023 at Lambeau Field when Rodgers would be in his age-39 season and possibly starting elsewhere.

Getting this matchup back finally gives football fans an opportunity to see the league’s two best quarterbacks face off for what may be the only time in their careers. Expect another prime TV slot for this contest and make sure you cancel your plans to see the Chiefs and Packers face off.
