3. at Philadelphia Eagles

If we are objectively breaking it down, last year’s season series between these two heated rivals holds little value. Not one game between the two featured both side’s starting quarterbacks sharing the same field, as in no matchup was Prescott vs. Carson Wentz. By the second game, neither was in for their respected sides.

The series ended in a 1-1 split. Wentz defeated Ben DiNucci in November, while Dalton vs. Jalen Hurts resulted in a Dallas win in December. Of course, Wentz is now an Indianapolis Colt while Dalton is a Chicago Bear.

So, now, it will seemingly be Prescott vs. Hurts in what is truly a new era for Philadelphia. Not only has Wentz left, but Doug Pederson is no longer the head coach. It is tough to really evaluate where this Eagles team is, but it seems fair to assume the Cowboys should win both games against the birds this year.

Again, much like the last slide with the Saints, the Cowboys’ road schedule is so relentless that the team must win games against imaginably insufficient sides like the Eagles could be in 2021. With the talent this Cowboys’ team boasts on the offensive side of the football and how great Prescott looked in that offense before injury, scoring points should not be a huge frustration this year.

The Cowboys have lost two straight on the road to the Eagles. That theme cannot happen in 2021 if McCarthy’s bunch truly evaluates themselves as contenders within the NFC.
