2. At Baltimore Ravens

The biggest quarterback rivalry in the AFC could turn into the budding one between Mahomes and Baltimore Ravens’ star Lamar Jackson. Each passer has won an MVP already, with Mahomes taking the honors after his breakout 2018 campaign with Jackson doing the same in 2019.

The on-field meetings between the Chiefs and Ravens have been quite one-sided since Jackson took over as Baltimore’s starter. Kansas City has won all three meetings, including a defining victory at Baltimore in Week 3 of the 2020 campaign that set the tone for both franchises for a while.

The Ravens took a while to get going but finished the season hot, surging into the postseason and winning a Wild Card game before losing in the Divisional Round. There is also significant pressure on Jackson to score a win over the Chiefs since they have been a monkey on his back.

Maintaining that mental edge over Baltimore is critical for the Chiefs, who don’t want to give the Ravens any positive momentum ahead of a potential postseason rematch. Heading into M&T Bank Stadium and scoring another win would be massive for Kansas City this season.
