For the last two decades, New England ran the division while Buffalo was usually found picking in the top 10-15. Depending on if Jones can truly be the next franchise quarterback, the walls could be reversed for years to come after last season.

Josh Allen showed in a second and third season that she could go from being a potential bust to All-Pro talent. The last time these two met up, Alan threw for over 300 yards to go along with four touchdowns on the way to a defining 38-9 victory.

Brandon Beane in Sean McDermott have been building Buffalo to be a long-term contender. New England is hopeful that 2020 was just a mishap year due to COVID-19 and opt outs. For now, the balance of power actually lies in the former seller franchise in the six-time Super Bowl champs.

Splitting the series at least keeps New England in the running for the division title. Should they be blown out twice, it might officially indicate the changing of the guard for the next decade between the two east coast clubs.
