AFC West
Denver Broncos – At Pittsburgh Steelers
There is a solid nucleus in place in Denver, which can realistically contend for the postseason if they get improvement from Drew Lock or a rookie quarterback. Getting to the playoff will require tough wins outside the division, making the Broncos’ trip to Pittsburgh a must-win if Denver wants to be a serious postseason contender.
Kansas City Chiefs – At Green Bay Packers
The biggest matchup to come out of the NFL’s expansion to 17 games comes as the Chiefs square off with the Packers, setting up a showdown between Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers. This game won’t matter for tiebreakers but could be a good measuring stick for how the Chiefs look against one of the NFC’s strongest contenders.
Las Vegas Raiders – Vs. Kansas City Chiefs
No team gave Kansas City more issues in the regular season than the Raiders, who won at Arrowhead Stadium before losing a shootout in Las Vegas. Jon Gruden has led a strange roster reconstruction for the Raiders, who will look to find a way to defeat the Chiefs to give themselves a chance to win the AFC West.
Los Angeles Chargers – Vs. Cleveland Browns
A popular sleeper pick after a strong finish to the season, there is no doubt that the Chargers are poised to make a big move in the AFC in Justin Herbert’s second season. Los Angeles can bolster its postseason hopes by finding a way to top the Browns at home, giving them a potentially massive tiebreaker in the wild card picture.
