NFL schedule 2021: Biggest game for all 32 teams
NFC North
Chicago Bears – Vs. Green Bay Packers
Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy know they have to win to save their jobs so the Bears’ sights will be set on taking back the NFC North crown. That will require at least one win over the Green Bay Packers, who have dominated the NFL’s oldest rivalry over the course of the last decade, and defending Soldier Field would be a big step in that direction.
Detroit Lions – Vs. Chicago Bears
The rebuild is on in Detroit as Dan Campbell will have six years to remake the Lions in the post-Matthew Stafford era. Getting at least one divisional win would be good for Campbell in year one and taking down an offensively challenged Bears’ team at Ford Field represents Detroit’s best opportunity at an NFC North win.
Green Bay Packers – Vs. Los Angeles Rams
The Packers don’t have to face the Buccaneers during the regular season so their biggest NFC matchup comes against Los Angeles. These teams met in the playoffs a year ago, with Green Bay winning handily at Lambeau Field, but the Rams have upgraded significantly at quarterback with their trade for Stafford, making this contest a potential determinant of home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Minnesota Vikings – Vs. Green Bay Packers
It certainly feels like Minnesota is torn between committing to a rebuild or trying to win now with Kirk Cousins and Dalvin Cook. The Vikings’ offseason activity indicates the latter is the play, which makes their matchups with Green Bay a critical factor to determine what direction Minnesota’s season takes in 2021.
