NFC West

Arizona Cardinals – Vs. Seattle Seahawks

There is win-now pressure for the Cardinals, who loaded up on veterans to try and push a rising team over the top in the loaded NFC West. Arizona will need to play well against the Seahawks, who split the season series with the Cardinals a year ago, in order to be a true threat out west.

Los Angeles Rams – Vs. Seattle Seahawks

The expectation level has risen in Los Angeles as the Rams made an aggressive play to swap Jared Goff and two first-round picks for Stafford, giving Sean McVay’s team a quarterback upgrade in the short term. The Rams fell short of a division title last season and will need to play better against Seattle in order to reclaim the NFC West crown.

San Francisco 49ers – Vs. Los Angeles Rams

No matter who starts at quarterback for San Francisco the talent is there for the 49ers to make another deep postseason run just two years after they were minutes away from winning the Super Bowl. Taking down the Rams, the presumed favorite to win the NFC West, would make a big statement that San Francisco is back as a serious threat in the NFC.

Seattle Seahawks – At Green Bay Packers

Seattle has to deal with the potential of an unhappy Russell Wilson so there is more pressure on the Seahawks to make a deep run into January this year. The Seahawks’ trip to Lambeau Field to take on the Packers takes on even more importance since a loss to Green Bay could ensure that Seattle has to return to the frozen tundra in January, a place where it’s never easy to win.
