Game of the Week: Seahawks at Colts

We’re going to get a good look at Carson Wentz immediately, playing against one of the top Super Bowl contenders in the Seahawks.

Seattle went through plenty of drama this offseason, with quarterback Russel Wilson being loud about his discontent within the organization. Ultimately, he’s back and he got some help from general manager John Schneider, who traded for veteran guard Gabe Jackson while signing tight end Gerald Everett away from the Los Angeles Rams.

As for the Colts, they might be the hardest team to figure in the AFC. Did Indianapolis get better this offseason by acquiring Wentz after Philip Rivers retired? Or, will Wentz give them a similar season to the one we witnessed last year in Philadelphia, where the Eagles benched him before trading him to the Colts while incurring a $34 million dead cap hit?

If Indy is getting the Wentz we saw during his time with head coach Frank Reich in Philadelphia (where Reich was the offensive coordinator), the Colts should be considered favorites in the AFC South and perhaps a sleeper to reach Super Bowl LVI. It’s only Week 1, but we could learn plenty about what to expect from the Colts right away.
