Game of the WeekBills at Buccaneers

The Bills just can’t get away from Tom Brady. Buffalo gets to visit Tampa Bay and see where they stack up against the best team football has to offer. For Josh Allen, it’s also an opportunity to beat Brady for the first time in his NFL career.

Buffalo is clearly one of the league’s top teams, having gone to the AFC title game last year. However, the Bills were rudely smacked down by the Kansas City Chiefs in said affair, losing 38-24. Now, they get a chance to make another run at the franchise’s first Lombardi Trophy, and it might be the best shot it has had since the days of Thurman Thomas, Jim Kelly and Bruce Smith.

Beating the Buccaneers would go a long way in making remaining doubters into believers. As for Tampa Bay itself, this is a nice measuring stick to see how the team is avoiding a Super Bowl hangover. The Bucs are returning all 22 starters from last year’s team, something unheard of in the free agency era. Is it a good move to essentially try again with the same group? We’re going to find out.
