2021 NFL schedule release: Picks and predictions for every game
AFC Divisional round
We saw the Colts come to Arrowhead in 2018 and get clobbered. And while this is a different team, the result is likely similar. Indy doesn’t have the corners to cover Kansas City, or the elite edge rush to hassle Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs are the better team, and it shows.
This would be a phenomenal game. Cleveland is good enough to win, but can they take down Buffalo at home in a raucous atmosphere? These teams are very even, but Allen is the superior player to Mayfield, and ultimately that’s the difference.
NFC Divisional round
Earlier in the season, Seattle beat Green Bay at Lambeau Field. The sweep won’t happen. The Seahawks can throw against the Packers, but the opposite is even more true. Without Shaquil Griffin, Seattle is vulnerable and Aaron Rodgers will persistently attack. A high-scoring game ends with the home team moving on.
The dream of repeating dies at SoFi Stadium. The Rams are uniquely built to give the Bucs problems with an interior pass rush and the ability to match up man-on-man outside. It’s hard picking Matthew Stafford to beat Brady, but the ability is there and Los Angeles is just good enough to slow down the Tampa Bay attack.
