Game of the Week: Saints at Seahawks

What are getting out of New Orleans this year?

The Saints have one of the more complete rosters in football, but questions galore at the quarterback spot. Is it going to be Jameis Winston, Taysom Hill or some mixture of the two? Furthermore, can either of them play and play well for 17 games, or will the Saints be undone by quarterbacks who aren’t going to make anybody forget about Drew Brees — even his 2020 form?

If the Saints are going to be one of the contending teams in the NFC, they should at least play Seattle close here. Granted, beating the Seahawks in what should be a packed stadium won’t be easy, but there’s reason for optimism if you’re a New Orleans fan to play well and perhaps win.

As for Seattle, these are the types of games Pete Carroll’s club has thrived in over the years. The Seahawks have always been a terrific teammate home, specifically in primetime affairs. For Seattle, winning all its games (or close to it) at Qwest Field is especially important this season, as the NFC West is the toughest gauntlet in the game.
