3 guaranteed win on Seahawks schedule that will be losses if Russell Wilson is traded

2. Tennessee Titans at Seattle Seahawks
As long as the 12s are present, the Seahawks have a distinct home-field advantage unlike most teams in the NFL today. Their rabid fanbase often propel them to games they had no business in winning simply by how loud it gets there. One game that the crowd would absolutely be a factor in 2021 is the Seahawks’ home date vs. the reigning AFC South division champion Tennessee Titans.
With Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill expected to regress with his former offensive coordinator Arthur Smith as the new Atlanta Falcons head coach, this game is shaping up to be a defensive struggle. Simply put, Wilson would do enough offensively to take the ball out of Derrick Henry’s hands in the Titans backfield. Without Wilson, the Seahawks will be getting battering rammed.
1. Seattle Seahawks at Washington Football Team
While the road date vs. the Vikings and the home game vs. Titans will be tough battles on their own with Wilson under center, his absence would be felt the most when Seattle travels across the country to play Ryan Fitzpatrick, Taylor Heinicke and the rest of the Washington Football Team. Traveling east across three time zones is hard, but doing it against Washington’s defense is brutal.
All the while, Fitzpatrick or Heinicke could do just enough to beat an undermanned Seahawks offense at FedEx Field this season. Washington is better defensively than Seattle at this time. So if Fitzpatrick has one of those FitzMagical games we love so much, the Seahawks have the potential to be embarrassed by the greatest journeyman quarterback in the history of all mankind.
Ultimately, Seattle pushes for 12 wins or so with Wilson as their franchise quarterback. If he were to be traded, look for the Seahawks to be several wins worse. They probably become the worst team in the deep NFC West and an inevitable rebuild would be upon them. It sounds nuts, but Wilson is worth at least half-a-dozen wins yearly for the Seahawks. They’d be 6-11 without him.
Trading Wilson would have dire consequences for the Seahawks, so they should refrain from it.
