Loser: Arizona

New coach Tommy Lloyd comes into a very, very difficult situation to say the least. The NCAA and FBI issues under previous coach Sean Miller led to a rough start to Lloyd’s tenure. This is not the list you want to be leading.

Losses:

  • James Akinjo PG to Baylor: 15.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists/game.
  • Jamarl Baker Jr SG to Fresno State: 12 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists/game.
  • Jordan Brown PF: 9.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1 assist/game.
  • Terrell Brown Jr PG to Washington: 7.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists/game.
  • Ira Lee PF to George Washington: 3 points and 3 rebounds/game.
  • Tibet Gorener PF: 1.1 points and 1 rebound/game.
  • Daniel Batcho PF: Did not play
  • Matt Weyand SF: Did not play

Addition:

  • Oumar Ballo C Gonzaga: 2.5 points and 1 rebound/game.

Analysis:

Akinjo was voted First-Team All-Pac-12 by the conference’s coaches. He averaged 35 minutes/game and hit 41 percent of his 3-point attempts.

Baker averaged 29 minutes/game and outstanding 3.2:1 assists to turnover ratio.

Brown was the Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year.
